About the Brand
Lightcove is a premium lighting brand selling handcrafted brass wall sconces and ceiling lights. Positioned on Etsy and Shopify, the brand focuses on customization, craftsmanship, and high perceived value, targeting design-conscious homeowners and professionals.
Goal
To test and scale advertising on Etsy Ads while maintaining high profitability. The aim was to validate the best-performing SKUs, gather keyword insights, and improve organic ranking through paid traction.
Strategy
We implemented a $15/day campaign focused on 67 selected listings based on margin, visuals, and past performance. Our approach combined:

🖼 Visual A/B testing (zoom vs lifestyle shots)
✏️ Listing rewrites and tag refinement
📉 Pause of low-performing SKUs to reinvest budget
📊 Daily bid monitoring & manual CPC control
Results
The campaign generated 51,100 impressions and 564 clicks, resulting in 7 direct orders and $4,755 in tracked ad revenue. Total ad spend was $457.61, giving a Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) of 10.4x. The Advertising Cost of Sale (ACoS) stayed under 10%, at just 9.63%. The average cost per click (CPC) was $0.81, with a click-through rate of 1.10%.
What Made It Work
Keyword-Driven Targeting: We used real search behavior to refine SEO, improve click-through, and optimize Etsy indexing.
Product Selection: Only listings with high perceived value, strong conversion history, and excellent margins were selected.
Iterative Testing: With daily adjustments, we quickly dropped low-performing ads and doubled down on those that delivered strong ROAS.
Final Insight
This campaign showed how Etsy Ads can be extremely profitable, even with a small budget, when products are well-positioned, listings are optimized, and performance is monitored daily. With a 10.4 ROAS, the Etsy channel became a serious acquisition and conversion engine for Lightcove — without relying on discounts or flash sales.
